When you are doing something that your body has not yet become skilled at, your body may, without you realising it, recruit muscles and load your tissues in a way that is far from ideal.

Inefficient body mechanics can develop in this way and although not painful at the time, may result in pain sometime later. We often don’t relate this to any activity we may have done some days or even weeks previously. This can also apply to those activities you may not have done in a long while.
